Dough Bowl Floral Candle - Small 15 cm

A long oval dough bowl, turned by hand from mango wood, filled edge to edge with creamy soy wax and finished with a row of individually moulded wax flowers — sunflowers, dahlias, roses and small cornflowers in red, saffron, blue and butter yellow.

Several wicks run the length of the bowl, so it can be lit at one end for a quiet evening or all the way across as a table centrepiece. The wax flowers are decorative; they soften and settle into the pool as the candle burns, which is part of the pleasure of it.

Every bowl is carved individually and every flower is set by hand, so no two are alike. Grain, bloom placement and colour balance will vary from the photographs.

Handmade in small batches by Chitra in Dehradun. Because every piece is made by hand, small variations in colour and finish are part of the work.

Dispatched from the studio within 3 to 5 working days. Most pieces are made or finished to order, so please allow a little longer during festival weeks.

Fragile items - resin trays, relief plates and glass candles - are wrapped in tissue, bubble wrap and a rigid outer carton.

If a piece arrives damaged, send a photograph within 48 hours of delivery and it will be replaced or refunded in full.

Because most work is one of a kind or made to order, we cannot accept returns for change of mind. Do ask any question before ordering - happy to send more photographs.

Everything here is worked by hand in small batches. Colour, grain, bloom placement and the way resin or ink settles will differ a little from the photographs.

These differences are the record of the piece being made rather than moulded, and are not treated as faults.
