Koi Pair - Square Relief Art Plate

Chitra's signature wall pieces. A round or square base is painted as a ground — deep pond blue, forest green, midnight indigo — and the subject is then modelled on top in relief, painted in detail, and sealed under a poured gloss so it reads wet.

The set includes a turtle pond with lily pads and crushed white stone, a pair of koi circling on deep blue, a sunflower with a bee at rest, a rabbit sitting in a ring of white blossom, and a kingfisher under a red hibiscus.

Each is modelled freehand without a mould, so the scene you receive is its own piece.

• Materials: Modelled clay relief, acrylic paint, poured resin gloss, wooden or ceramic base, crushed stone
• Dimensions: Round plates approx. 20-22 cm diameter; square panel approx. 20 x 20 cm
• Care: Dust with a soft dry brush. Wall-mount using the recess on the reverse. Not for food use.

Handmade in small batches by Chitra in Dehradun. Because every piece is made by hand, small variations in colour and finish are part of the work.

Dispatched from the studio within 3 to 5 working days. Most pieces are made or finished to order, so please allow a little longer during festival weeks.

Fragile items - resin trays, relief plates and glass candles - are wrapped in tissue, bubble wrap and a rigid outer carton.

If a piece arrives damaged, send a photograph within 48 hours of delivery and it will be replaced or refunded in full.

Because most work is one of a kind or made to order, we cannot accept returns for change of mind. Do ask any question before ordering - happy to send more photographs.

Everything here is worked by hand in small batches. Colour, grain, bloom placement and the way resin or ink settles will differ a little from the photographs.

These differences are the record of the piece being made rather than moulded, and are not treated as faults.
